SPRINT COURSE - COURSE DESCRIPTION

Let me provide you with a description of the swim, bike, and run courses for the EXSS Sprint Triathlon, Duathlon, and Aquabike:

For the Sprint Triathlon, the swim portion entails completing one lap of 750m. Participants will begin beside the pontoon and swim in a counter-clockwise direction around the designated swim course. The swim concludes at the boat ramp, where athletes will exit the water and proceed to Transition 1 (T1). Here, they will transition from the swim to the bike leg.

After grabbing their bikes in T1, athletes will head down the event road. They will then proceed up the event road, passing the car bridge, and make a left turn onto the event path, completing one full lap. Following this, participants will make a left turn back onto the event road, heading towards Transition 2 (T2), after finishing their third lap. Upon reaching T2, athletes will transition to the final leg of the race, the 5km run.

The run course consists of two laps of 2.5km each. Participants will leave T2 and follow the designated route, completing the required laps before heading towards the finish line.

For the Duathlon event, participants will start just before the bridge and begin with a 1km run. After completing the run, athletes will enter the transition area, similar to the triathlon. From there, they will follow the same bike and run courses as the triathlon participants.

As for the Aquabike, participants will start with the triathlon and complete the full bike leg. At the end of the bike leg, they will run or walk out of transition, following the run course directly to the finish chute.
